I wonder if you have any advice including specific points, for the case of left arm swelling down to the hand.

Could you please specify the exact location of the swelling, e.g., along one of the meridians' route, medial, lateral, etc...
Any diagnosis? Lymphatic system, blood system, etc.?

The swelling is all around the arm and on the hand, most of the dorsum of the hand, but some also on the inside. Obviously this is a problem with the lymphatic system.The pressure leaves marks on the skin, thus, as far as I understand this is a deficient condition involving all arm channels. |

In the contrary, this is an excess pattern in need of dispersion. Despite the fact that there is still missing plenty of information about your patient, I presume that this is most probably a local problem and not systemic. Points that can be of help are:
Li-4/ 11/ 15 - distal direction
P-6/ P-5 - proximal direction
All on the affected side by strong dispersion (if your patient is of a physical condition that allows a strong stimulation).
Sp-6/ Sp-9/ Ren-10 = dispersion, possibly warm needling on Ren-10.

I love the idea of warm needling the Ren Meridian in such a case the points chosen in association with the distal Points that are being used.
Spleen Meridian in cases of Lymphatic congestion is mandatory.
You may want to construct a formula: SP-6, LI-4, (a well known and powerful combiation) combined with hot needle Ren-10 (spleen) and Ren-9 (water divide).
Consider also Yin Linking system.
Rule out Cardiac insufficiencies just as a precaution-you don't want to be caught out by atypicality.

Is such a condition an extremely Yin situation badly affecting Yang Meridians but not as badly the yin meridians because the ability of yin meridans to deal with yin codition? |

Shmuel was right, this is an excess condition. I needled the LI and PC channels agsinst the flow of energy and there is an improvement, so far by 10%. The swelling is not so "tense" any more.
I have also used Sp-6/ Sp-9/ Ren-10, perpendicular needling, no stimulation. It could be worth trying thje warm needles as well.
I guess you are talking about dispersing all point.
Oddly, the upper hand seems to be deficient,leaving persistent marks on pressure,while the forearm and upper arm is in excess. Any tips?
