For the last few days I have been having phlegm that seems stucked in the throat that is sticky and difficult to cough out and when i manage to cough out the phlegm, its clear. Today, i coughed a little green phlegm in the morning later in the noon time, it seems clear and back to the stick clear coloured phleghm. I have no cough, no sore throat, no runny nose etc. Have been drinking honeysuckle flower and chrysanthemum flower. Whats your advise? and what you think is the reason. What should I do? thanks |

Sticky phlegm may arise because of weak spleen Qi involving digestive problems, or due to a cold affliction which has lingered and did not resolve. There is not enough information in your post to determine which one is the cause. In any event, the most reasonable choice is to have a Chinese medicine practitioner examine you, and see whether this is a temporary event, or one that is rooted in a more fundamental condition. |
