Hi. My husband has just been diagnosed with diabetes...........I have done some research and asked my inner guidance where he needs the most work and the answer came.....Adrenal glands.........if I work the kidney meridian does this affect the adrenals or is there another meridian that connects the endocrine system so it can be worked on in its entirety. (my husband is taking medication for the diabetes and has altered his diet to encourage some weightloss) I want to augment this with reiki/jin shin jyutsu/shiatsu/reflexology, etc. Thank you for your assistance. ( I recognize that I am not asking for medical advice as just location of meridians) Sharon Gray Montreal, Canada

Hi Sharon. There is no such organ in Chinese medicine as adrenal glands or any other glands for that matter. Most of the glandular/endocrine functionality is attributed to the kidneys and their energetical/physiological role in the body. It is true, however, that diabetes is attributed in Ch.med. to a deficiency of kidney Yin that may affect the spleen/pancreas, stomach or lung Yin, and might turn into a consumptive disorder that greatly resembles the state of diabetes. There are some inputs concerning this disease in this forum and the treatment offered by Ch.med. Please run a search command and browse through these inputs. If you will still have questions, please continue this string. |
