Hello Shmuel I have a 28 year old patient with acne and folliculitis. He is of afro-carribean origin. He gets lumps appearing on his chin, around his mouth, on his forehead and around his nose. Sometimes they are just hard lumps, other times they are pus filled. He also complains of lower back ache ( having quite a pronounced lordosis). His diet has consisted mainly of fast foods, eaten very late at night, since he was a child. His pulse is slippery, and tongue is pale and swollen. I have been treating him with acupuncture for 1 month, whereby I have been resolving phlegm and damp, and tonifying the Spleen and Kidneys. Would there be any patent herbal treatment you could recommend to complement the acupuncture? |

There are quite a few besides the one given by Per. I would also recommend: Margarite Acne Pill, or: Cai Feng Zhen An Chuang Wan and others. Still, considering your patient's resume, I am skeptical that a patent formula of pills can help him. I would suggest a raw herbal prescription instead of the pills. You may check out the constituents of these herbal pills and use their ingredients, or part of them, to formulate a raw herbal prescription of your own.
