Hi Dr. Halevi, Is celery a part of Chinese herbalism? If so what can it be used for? Thanks a lot, Gad.

Celery and celery seeds are more a folk remedy rather than a herbal remedy in China. Still, it is quite beffective in lowering blood pressure due to liver Yang ascending or hyper cholesterol. Its name in Chinese is Han Qin, energy is cool and it enters the liver and stomach meridians. It is also used for uremia and rheumatoid arthritis. Hope this helps. |
