Hi, i have a problem where I have dark under circles, or dark lines under and between my eyes. I believe it's fluid retention of some sort. I look tired all the time and people keep saying i need sleep, but had plenty. My cheeks are slumping as well due to the baggage. I have had this for over a year now. I am 23 years old male, pretty young and wonder why this is happening to me? I believe it's due to sexual exhaustion as I have been excessively pleasuring myself before but I have stopped for awhile now, but once in awhile I do it. Not often anymore. What should I do? will accunputre help? can I take any herbal/medicine of any sort? I tried all the eye creams and they don't really work. I hate looking like this, i have low confidence in myself now, and sometimes afraid to look at people because of what they might see.. it's really hard. I hope this can be resolved, some one told me it could be allergies due to the dark shiny lines on my eye, but i know i don't have any allergies. Please advice.. my email is: phantomstar02@hotmail.com if you want to email me as well... thank you for any help |

Dear Phantomstar, In Ch.med.black hue under or surrounding the eyes denotes kidney Qi (energy) weakness, or health problems related to the kidney functioning (sometimes, even diabetes for instance, relates to weak kidney functioning). If you had not mentioned your sexual indulgence i would probably have asked this question since, in Ch.med., excessive sexual activity may give rise to the weakening of kidney Qi, hence the blackish hue as well as the tiredness. I am not sure that with proper treatment the black color will resolve, yet, Ch.med. treatment will undoubtedly restore your energy and strengthen your kidneys functioning. A responsible practitioner will probably guide you as for a proper daily behavior (of all aspects) so that you may not put your future health in jeopardy. Try to find an experienced Ch.med. doctor (not an M.D.) and I hope that you'll benefit greatly. |

Thank you so much for your help! I did not realize it is my kidney that could be the reason. When you mean Ch. med doctor do you mean an acupuncturist? I think there are several in my area. Also, I was researching online and stumbled upon this site that helps with my eye bags: http://www.cljhealth.com/eye_bags.htm Do you suggest i should try that, or just see a local acupuncturist first? Thank you so much for your help |

Well I just seen an Acupuncturist, and he said my kidneys and spleen are deficient. I don't need acupuncture but herbal medicine instead. He said it would help my dark under eye get better. He suggests I think it over before I do anything. Also the cost for these herbs he saids is pretty high around $350. Is this the usual charge? Should I look elsewhere? I have had this problem for a long time (close to 2 years), and in desperate need of some help.

Chinese herbalism can do the job too, Phantomstar, just make sure you find a first class herbalist. The price you were given is ca. 4 times higher than normal. A herbal package for 30 days or so may cost between 50-80 US$ in Chinatown herb shop. |
