It is really difficult without a personal inspection, A.O. The headache may come due to a muscular tension whose source is on the low back and short leg. if this is the case, it is a superficial kind of headache. This is easy to check and see if the neck and occipital muscles are tight and tensed, and if the headache feels only on the superficial level or deep inside. A classical differentiation for headaches type. If, on the other hand, it is a deep headache, it seems that it involves the Ki/Liv imbalance. It seems that your patient lacks Yin-fluid in the Ki domain, so you need to tonify this and lower the GB Yang with appropriate points. And... it may be (as it usually is) that both diagnoses are valid in the same time. In such a case you need to outline a treatment plan and see which of the syndromes you are going to treat first and which one later on. This might take a while, you need to be patient. Such cases may resolve only after few months of treatment. |
