Dr. Halevi, I read with much interest your article concerning the treatment of eye diseases by snail shell moxa. I would like to ask whether this treatment is valid also without needling. If the answer is yes, what kind of problems this treatment can address? Much obliged for your kind answer. Dr. Walid, Pakistan. |

Dear Dr. Hamudi, cheers from Israel. The main benefit of Snail-shell moxibustion is on its propmpt application right after stimulating points such as: B-1, St-1 and Qiuhuo. Still, it may be used also without needling, probably with less efficacy. Without the needling it will probably not be effective for fundus hemorrhage or edema, which was the reason it had been invented in the first place. Nevertheless, it may be used for blurred vision, the beginning of cataract, excessive tearing and other mild conditions. |
