Dear dr. Shmuel Halevi, I would like to congratulate you for your outstanding work with the site of the acumedico forum. What a unique way to share your knowledge, your experience with us. I have a heredofamilial essential tremor for as long as I can remember ( at least since I was 6 years old ), my son has the same problem for at least the last 3 yaers. I have been taking modern western drugs for about 3 years, with a moderate result, till I decided to be treated only with natural drugs. My son has had no treatment at all as the neurologist thougt it might be best not to start a traetment with drugs at such a early age. Could you indicate a treatment for myself and my son, acupunture, natural drugs or any treatment that would to ease the symptons. The second problem is an excessive transpiration with no apparent reason. Thank you very much in advance for any answer and please excuse my poor english, which is out of practise for quite a while. kind regards R.R |

Dear R.R. Chinese medicine may be able to treat this disorder, and I am more optimistic about the results in the case of your son who has had this problem only for 3 years. I would recommend herbal treatment for this, as this may be a lengthy treatment. In Ch.med. this disorder is usually attributed to the liver energetical activity and it is treated by herbs that relax and calm liver Yang. In any event, a proper diagnosis must be carried out, of course. Try to locate, where you live, an experienced Ch.herbalist and I am sure you'll have good results. Good luck. |
