Of course. Please read my article: http://www.acumedico.com/gangrene.htm Treatment principles much the same. When you treat a systemic arterial peripheral condition you need to add points that circulate Qi + blood in the leg. Use yang meridians to move the Qi (st-31/ 36) and yin meridians for the blood (lymph) - (sp-6/9, etc.) |

Your valuable article is mainly about diabetic foot and the underlying ulcers. I meant PAD peripheral arterial disease in lower limbs presented with intermittent claudication, fatigue and leg pain (atherosclerotic vessels in doppler imaging). Do you have any experience in this respect too? |

Depends on the severity of the case. Depends on the age of the patient and the duration of the disease. Usually, in not-too-old patients and not-too severe condition, prognosis is quite favorable. Acupuncture has great merit as an excellent tool in order to enhance circulation and open up blood stasis and stagnation. Thus, my previous recommendation still applies. |
