Hi, can someone recommend a working symptomatic point combination for the treatment of hemorrhoids/anal fissure?

I usually use this basic combination:
P-5 (or Li-4)/ B-57/ Du-1/ B-25 and B-35
This is, as you say, rather symptomatic and enhances Qi & blood flow in the area of the anus. Most important points here are B-57 and Du-1. B-57 needs to be manipulated with deqi traveling proximally until sensation reaches the anal region. Du-1 does not need to be manipulated too much, only have the local sensation around the anus. This combination usually yields excellent results even in large and bulging out hemorrhoids. In most cases, eliminating the need for operation. It is, of course, needless to say that the root cause for the appearance of the hemorrhoids must be diagnosed. Whether it is a spleen deficient condition which needs to be treated as well, or an excessive condition such as heat in the intestines, or damp heat, etc. Thus, proper treatment of the basic imbalance, as well as dietary and behavioral instructions to the patient, may solve the problem entirely. |
